Version dated 22 October 2026 — Load V1
Who is responsible for your data?
Load is published by Victor Mignot, based in France, who is the controller of the app’s personal data. For questions or requests about your data, contact support@load-gym.com.
Information used by Load
Account: email address, account ID, username, sign-in information and, if you provide them, your name, profile picture and biography. Signing in with Apple or Google shares the account information you authorise with that provider. Load does not receive your Apple or Google password.
Training: programmes, exercises, sets, exercise loads, repetitions, durations, rest times, notes, history and results calculated from workouts. Your goals, experience level and equipment help adapt the features offered.
Age and profile: date of birth to check the minimum age and apply protections for younger users, and profile information you choose to provide.
Gym: the name, address and coordinates of the location you select. These coordinates describe the selected gym; they do not track your movements.
Social features: connections between users, follows, blocks, conversation participants, messages, shared content and reports.
Technical operation: session identifiers, notification tokens, request times and logs, IP addresses in technical logs and a hash of the IP address to limit abusive gym searches. Support requests include the information you send us.
Why this information is used
Running your account, saving and syncing workouts, statistics, programmes and the communications you request are based on providing the Load service (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Optional fields are not required to create an account; leaving them blank may limit the related feature.
Security, abuse prevention, age checks, handling reports and diagnosing problems rely on our legitimate interest in operating a safe service (Article 6(1)(f)). Handling requests about your rights is necessary to meet our legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). Support uses the information needed for your request, depending on whether it concerns the service or your rights.
Load does not sell your data or use it for targeted advertising. We do not share it with data brokers. Programmes and statistics do not constitute automated decisions producing legal effects concerning you.
What other users can see
Your profile and content visibility depend on your settings and the sharing features you use. Messages are available to conversation participants. Someone who receives content may keep a copy or screenshot. Reports are intended for moderation and are not displayed to the reported profile.
Load is available from age 16. Privacy and messaging restrictions apply to accounts under 18. Do not include sensitive information in your biography, shared notes or messages.
On your phone and online
Some data is stored on your phone so training features can work offline. Changes are sent to the server when connectivity and the app’s state allow it. Changes that have not synced may be lost if app data is erased.
Signing in, social exchanges, online gym searches and account deletion require an internet connection. You can manage notifications in Load and in your phone’s settings. Notification content may appear on your lock screen depending on your system settings.
Service providers
Supabase hosts the database, authentication, pictures and server functions. The selected region for the database, Auth and Storage is London, United Kingdom. Some support, logging, file delivery or server-function processing may take place in other countries.
OVHcloud provides the domain and email services used for account emails and support. The public website is hosted through Sites (OpenAI), on Cloudflare infrastructure. Expo and Apple help deliver notifications; Expo may also deliver app updates. Google Places provides gym search and location information. Apple or Google are involved if you select their sign-in method.
Providers receive the data needed for their role. Sign-in providers also process some data under their own privacy policies. Data may be processed outside the European Economic Area; depending on the recipient, safeguards rely on an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses and the measures provided in supplier contracts. You can request information about these safeguards at support@load-gym.com. Supabase information: https://supabase.com/legal/customer-resources/data-processing-addendum ; processing locations: https://supabase.com/legal/privacy-resources/data-residency-and-transfers-faq.
How long information is kept
Account, profile and training data and associated content are kept to provide the service while your account exists, unless deleted earlier through available features. Notification tokens are removed when no longer valid or when the account is deleted.
Gym-search rate-limit counters are deleted after 30 days during daily cleanup. Technical deletion receipts contain no workout or profile content, expire after one hour and are purged during daily cleanup. Reports remain available while being handled; closed reports are deleted six months after their last update, or earlier if the related account is deleted.
Support correspondence is kept while handling the request and for the follow-up needed to resolve it. Provider logs and any backup copies follow their technical retention cycles; deleting active data does not mean all such copies are erased immediately. Information needed for a legal obligation or dispute may be kept separately for the relevant period.
Account deletion and your rights
You can request account deletion in Load’s settings. Once the server confirms deletion, the account, profile, workouts, personal programmes, profile files and associated social data are deleted according to the service’s data relationships. This cannot recall copies already made by other people.
You can request access, a copy, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data under the conditions set out in the GDPR. You can also object to processing based on our legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation. Write to support@load-gym.com from your account’s email address; proportionate identity verification may be required. We normally respond within one month and will inform you if a lawful extension is needed. You can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL: https://www.cnil.fr/. In France, you can also give instructions concerning your data after your death.
This website and policy changes
Load’s information pages do not include advertising trackers or audience analytics added by Load. The hosting provider receives the technical information needed to serve and protect the website.
This policy may change with the service. The date is shown at the beginning of the document, and significant changes to how your data is used will be communicated appropriately. Processing that requires separate consent will not be authorised solely by updating this policy.
Google Maps search
When you search for a gym, Google processes the information needed for that search under its privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
